A basic hair follicle drug test goes back 90 days and come in 5,9 and 12 panels.
Segmented hair follicle tests goes back up to 180 days. Segmented hair tests test in 30 day increments and come in a varity of panel to choose from.

Hair Follicle drug tests are ordered mostly in custody cases or by the criminal court system.
How is the test performned?
The collection specialists will cut about 90 to 120 stands of hair, measuring about 1/4 of an inch (in most cases from the head or nap of neck).
The specialists puts the hair sample in a foil tray and seals it in a shipping bag with the chain of custody.
Lab results usually take up to 7 days for a 5 panel result and same or a bit longer positive results or for 9 and 12 panel hair follicle tests.
